Calendars out the door

calendars-blog

After many months of planning, designing, and several days of hand packaging, five hundred calendars are now ready to be shipped from Cambridge, Massachusetts. It’s been quite the endeavor, and we’re excited to get these into the hands of our collaborators and the public — in Japan and around the world.

We chose the size of a CD for its compact size and universal dimensions. It can fit on a desk or shelf for easy reference, for contemplation, for serendipity. The CD is easy to carry and exchange.

A calendar is also such a practical thing to own, and in Japan in particular — the focus of this first distribution — they are ubiquitous as gifts in the months leading up to the new year. And yet these commonplace items can also be great platforms for conversation and ideas, to get people thinking in the places they’re at, about the places they live in.

If you have a calendar, we are eager to get your feedback! Leave a comment or use the contact form to get in touch.

Now, on to the website and skyMEMOs that live there, the calendar’s counterparts. Check back in January for more. 2016 is going to be an exciting year!
